At the core of its mission, public health aims to prevent, promote, and protect the public's health. Though the 新型冠状病毒肺炎 public health emergency has ended, Wyandot County Public Health has maintained its efforts to 防止 the spread of 新型冠状病毒肺炎 by providing free at-home test kits and up-to-date guidance for those who are sick, exposed to illness, or otherwise immunocompromised; 促进 healthy choices related to 新型冠状病毒肺炎 by sharing relevant 新型冠状病毒肺炎 information affecting our community; and to 保护 the public against severe illness or death from 新型冠状病毒肺炎 through vaccination.

Vaccination Clinics

Wyandot County Public Health offers Moderna 新型冠状病毒肺炎 vaccinations by appointment for all individuals ages 6 months and older by appointment on Mondays and Fridays. To schedule an appointment, call the nursing division at 419-294-3852.

Individuals 18 and older may also receive Moderna 新型冠状病毒肺炎 vaccines during weekly Walk-in Wednesday Clinics from 9 a.m. 到下午4点.m. Wednesdays at Wyandot County Public Health.

Those seeking Pfizer or Novavax vaccines should consult with a primary care provider or other vaccine providers about availability of these options.

Paying for Vaccines

Due to the end of the public health emergency, 新型冠状病毒肺炎 vaccine costs are no longer covered by emergency funding. For most people, health insurance should cover all or most of the cost of vaccination. Individuals who are underinsured or uninsured may also qualify to receive reduced cost vaccinations.

Individuals should bring their insurance card(s) to Walk-in Wednesdays to ensure the vaccines are covered. Wyandot County Public Health staff will check insurance coverage over the phone when scheduling appointments and for those interested in verifying coverage before attending walk-in clinics.

Isolation Recommendations

Regardless of vaccination status, you should isolate from others when you have 新型冠状病毒肺炎. You should also isolate if 你是 sick and suspect that you have 新型冠状病毒肺炎 but do not yet have test results. If your results are positive, follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention isolation recommendations.
